Install and allow access

Download and open the DMG

Select the button above, then open the .dmg file from Downloads.

Move it to Applications

Drag the RustDesk icon onto the Applications folder, then open RustDesk there.

Allow RustDesk to open

If blocked, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

Turn on each permission

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. Choose Accessibility and turn on RustDesk.
  3. Go back, choose Screen Recording, and turn on RustDesk.
  4. Repeat for Input Monitoring if shown.
Restart RustDesk after changing permissions

On newer macOS versions, Screen Recording may be named “Screen & System Audio Recording.” Quit and reopen RustDesk so the changes take effect.

Only share your RustDesk ID or password with the Device Reboot technician assisting you. Close RustDesk when your support session is complete.
